I was going through my hotmail and clearing the mailbox and came across one of my friend wordpress and I realised that I have not been updating my blog. The last time I posted was when I was about to visit Siem Reap, Cambodia. Since then, it has been 6 to 8 months since I wrote something here. It has been more convenient to post photos on Instagram and short thoughts on Facebook as compared to writing stuffs here.
Recently, there has been this new feature on Facebook whereby one gets to know what has one did one year ago today. This time last year, I was on a holiday to Hong Kong. Two years ago today, I was in Las Vegas having the time of my life.
Probably I just have to pick up the habit of logging into wordpress and typing my thoughts here. 5 years later and I would still remember what I did during that time of the year,
Finally back! So, a quick recap like what I always do as usual after leaving it out for a long period of time. I left Dolphin Island in June 2014 and had a week vacation in Macau and Hong Kong. After that in end June, I joined The Westin Singapore doing Talent Development. Till today, I learned a lot and I enjoy what I do so far at work. I am still learning Japanese and HOPEFULLY I can do JLPT N3 next year with my current progression – *gasps* had been slacking too much over the weekends (not a good thing)
I will update my experiences and thoughts in my recent trip to Cambodia, Siem Reap the next few days.
My bestie Jacquelyn will be pledging her hair by shaving it for the Hair for Hope 2014!
“Hair for Hope is Children’s Cancer Foundation’s signature fundraising event – the only head-shaving event in Singapore that serves to raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer.”
I was surprised when she told me that she was going to take part in the Hair for Hope 2014. However, at the same time I am also very proud of her courageous act. I don’t think I will be that brave to do so (although I might want to do it someday?) I believe this will be a big milestone that she is going to take on the 26th June! So excited for Jacq! 🙂
Please support her by donating for a good cause! I have included the link for her shavee profile in the image above – you can just click on it! I have donated to the Children’s Cancer Society! What about you?
Proceeds will go to the Children’s Cancer Society

I have many friends and people around me who are always curious about my interest in Japan and its language.
Usually, the first thing I would say is the language. I enjoy the language mainly because of Hiragana and Katakana. I like the characters and I feel a good sense of accomplishment that I am able to read and understand them. Since young, I enjoyed animations like Doreamon and watching them in Daimaru supermart in Liang Court last time. I have always wanted to know what they were talking about and understanding the language so that I would know what is it all about.

Finally I found someone that enjoys museum visits too.
Thank you National Heritage Board (NHB) for free entry to local museums where you just have to flash your pink/blue IC at the counter and you get a free ticket to enter the museum.
The National Museum of Singapore is currently having two temporary exhibits – Genesis by Sebastiáo Salgado and We: Defining Stories by various photojournalists featuring iconic events (good/bad) that happened in Singapore.

The day started by knowing Hello Panda became LIVE. 😱
Headed to Songs of the Seas with Geraldine after work. While queuing for tickets, I assisted a Chinese tourist family by printing her tickets for Songs of the Seas by manually entering her barcode into the system.
