Attended the Singapore Tourism Industry Ball 2011 held in Shangri-la Singapore on Saturday 03 December 2011. This event is a biennial event.
It was themed Fusion Rendezvous: East meets West. It was jointly organised by Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Singapore Chapter, National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS), Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), Skal International Singapore and Association of Singapore Attractions (ASA). It was a really awesome event and I attended this event as a Young Skal from Skal International Singapore.
I was there to help out with the lucky draw prizes and registration. It was really exciting to see different people from the various hospitality operations and corporations. There were representatives from the MICE industry, Travel Agencies, WDA, Hotels, etc etc. The programmes that were on for the night and the foreign artistes were flown in specially for the event. They were all very good and there was a violinist from Britain’s Got Talent – Sue Son (born in Korea, raised in UK – correct me if I’m wrong). She was there to perform. There were also others like the “puppet-talker” which was really interesting on how he really coordinated the audience that were being called up on stage to help out with his acts. There was also Broadway Beng and the item that he performed was really funny and relate-able.
There were many attractive prizes ranging from electrical household items to DVD Players to tour vouchers to iPads and stays in Fairmont Hotel. It was also the final day for the the WDA’s Productivity Awards by PATA and WDA.
Let the photos do the talking:
